Vespa 125cc Scooters
Should i buy a vespa over a lambretta?
Hello im thinking of buying a scooter, 125cc max for around town riding, nothing to heavy just a run about.Is the vespa better over the lambretta? it appears they are more value for money but the lambrettas are pretty kewl however. I was thinking of buying it on ebay with a price range of £400- 500 would i get a nice one in good order for that do you think?
Also insurance MOT etc, is it cheap?
any help would be lovely, thanx guys.
Its personal preference. Liking the style, ride handling, maintenance ease, reliability or; modern or vintage.
I take it you're from the UK. If you are, there's number of scooter shops around if you're buying vintage. You can get parts and service; for both Vespa and Lammy's.
If you're going for a modern scoot. I would get a Vespa. Its better looking than the modern Lambretta that is currently out on the market. (An Indian based company had brought the "Lambretta " name and is marketing their own generic scooters under its label.)
Sorry, no clue how much the insurance is over there.
