Instructions and diagrams to fit a Keihin PWK-type 24mm carburetor?
I have a 1963 Vespa VBB and have purchased a Keihin PWK-type 24mm carburetor kit however it comes with no fitting instructions and diagrams. I can't work out how the cables attach, what lines go where etc etc. I've spent hours on the net trying to find fitting instructions and diagrams without success. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.
I *think* the PWK only goes down to 28mm does it have a round slide (PE) or a flat slide (PWK)?
Either way, the throttle cable goes through the top cap, and hooks into the slide. you need to take the top off and feed the throttle cable through it, then hook it into the slide (if it's a pwk) or hook it into the round "washer" under the spring (if it's a PE)
the choke comes out through that little rubber bootie on the outlet side of the carb (the smaller side, towards the engine)
the larger fitting angled up sort of crooked is the fuel line to the fuel tank
the smaller fittings are breathers and the over flow. they should be routed down and away from anything hot as they sometimes have gas dribbling out.
