Discount Scooter Insurance - Find the Best Cheap Coverage Plan
With the price of gas rising daily the public interest in scooters is on the rise. Scooters and motorcycles have been part of our culture for a long time as a cheap mode of transportation. The scooter is inexpensive and enables the driver to have some level of comfort without too much labor.
We can thank the Italians for the scooter with there development of the Vespa. Scooters can be seen as a mode of transportation all over Europe and the Far East. Scooters are easy to park on narrow streets making them a desirable mode of transportation when parking is at a premium.
Yamaha and Honda realize the growth in the scooter market in the late 20th century when we had our last gas crisis and they took advantage of this new business with many new and sharp looking models. This resulting in taking a large share of the scooter business in the American market.
But remember owning a scooter is like owning any motor vehicle that when you purchase it you need to also get the best coverage for your scooter. In the event you are in a accident you must have adequate insurance to cover yourself in case you have injuries or that any other person gets hurt.
Shopping for scooter insurance is like looking for any other insurance, do your homework, get more than one estimate, compare rates and benefits. When you finally decide on coverage make sure that you are comfortable with it. Owning a scooter can be both a fun and inexpensive way to get around, just make sure you are covered properly in the event you get into an accident.

Face Motorcycle Scooter Entry level motorcycle for 6'3" guy?
Looking for advice for purchasing a beginner/entry level bike. I am 6'3" tall and do not like bikes with low seat heights at all. I went to a dealer and say on many, only to find that most made me feel like my knees were in my face. I don't want a crotch rocket either, just maybe a 650 twin or something like that. I did sit on a Yamaha TMAX scooter (31.5" seat height) and that was great! Other than the TMAX, what would you suggest please?
P.S. I had a new 1974 Suziki 125cc a LONG, LONG time ago (showing my age) for about a year. That's the extent of my motorcycle experienced, I'm afraid.
I was going to say big people fit better on cruisers. But then you don't like cruisers.
So the basic idea is that every motorcycle has a little different ergos, the spatial arrangement between seat, handlebars and footpegs. You could handle anything up to 650cc, You don't want a hot crotch-rocket, at least not to learn on, you want a 'standard', but some are styled like sportbikes. A Suzuki SV 650, a Kawsaki Ninja 650r, something like that. Go sit on a few bikes and see what feels comfortable to you. If the bike has a centerstand, stand it up and sit on it with your hands on the handlebars and your feet on the footpegs, and ask yourself 'Could I sit like this for two hours?' Actually you can tell a lot by sitting on a bike.
The other guy recommend a KLR. That's a bike for on/off road. That would be an ideal bike to learn on because it's very light and easy to manage. It's high off the ground, because off-road bikes have long suspension travel, so you have to be tall to sit on it and put both feet flat on the ground. But once you're actually moving, the distance between the seat and the footpegs is the same as a regular bike.
Those new big scooters are also very cool. They are easier to ride because they have a lower center of gravity, plus they have automatic transmissions, so a total newbie can just climb on one and ride it off into the sunset. 8^)
Vital part of the belt drive mechanism for this popular Scooter and should ideally be replaced at the same time as the other related wear components including the drive belt it..

Driver Safety For Motorcycles, Mopeds And Scooters
Driver safety on motorcycles, mopeds or scooters is imperative. They may go faster, look cooler, or squeeze into places where cars couldn't, but they are also more prone to serious accidents.
If you've seen the world pass by ever so quickly, heard the gentle roar of an engine just below you and felt the rush of the air on your face --- you start wondering why everyone wouldn't just drive motorcycles instead. Here are some driver safety tips, if you choose motorcycles, mopeds or scooters:
Helmet-hair – Driver safety on motorcycles, mopeds, scooters and other 2-wheeled vehicles should start here. On a motorcycle, a helmet is a life investment. Find one that fits well --- loose-fitting helmets might fall off when you accelerate while on a motorcycle.
Suit up! - Part of motorcycle/moped/scooter driver safety is clothing. If you're going out 'round the corner, then maybe having a helmet will do, but if you're going on a long trip, wear motorcycle clothing --- something to maybe lessen the scrapes, should you fall off. Find bright/reflective motorcycle clothes as this will make you more visible to motorists on the road.
Protect Your Eyes – A general driver safety tip is keeping your eyes on the road --- and most motorcycles don't have windshields to protect your eyes from dust or insects that you happen to pass by. Pick a helmet with eye protection, or better yet, find shatter-proof goggles.
Flash Your Lights – Not your teeth. A motorcycles, mopeds and scooters are just hard to spot during the day and night. Driver safety suggests that you open up your lights to make sure the vehicles in front and back of you see that you're there.
Keep Your Distance – The best driver safety tip on motorcycles/mopeds/scooters next to helmets is keeping your distance. Even on the mildest of collisions, the driver of a motorcycle (or moped/or scooter) is more likely to receive more damage --- keeping ample distance will do wonders for driver safety.
Remember... the safe operation of a motorcycle requires practiced skill, knowledge, and a respectful understanding of the limitations imposed by the operator, the machine, and the environment. Learn more about how to get your motorcycle license in your state.

Face Scooter Will universal health care pay for my own private motor scooter to ride around Walmart?
I can bearly get out of bed let alone walk around Walmart for an entire hour. I hate having to share my motor scooter with others because lets face it some of those people smell. I am hoping under universal healthcare everyone will have a private motorized scooter as promised on the "Scooter Store" commericals. Will I be covered?
On a series note - I spent two years of my life paralized after a car accident in high school. I have now been walking fine for about ten years. I can tell you the government is not forking out motorscooters to disabled people.
You mean like that ad on TV?
Probably.
