look at mcn magazine online a get an idea from that, vespa px's in good condition hold their value after a certain point. most people who own old vespas do modify them, good things to look out for is Disc brake on front, Halogen Head light (Big difference at night), some people modify the engine like bigger carbs, that's ok, does not stress the engine, bigger cylinder ok to a point, pollini is the most common on vespa's that are modified. ride the bike for 15 to 20 minutes after the engine is warm. gear change should be easy and smooth. if it has an electric start motor, they give some problems and are expensive, but you don't need the electric starter, kick start is better. i bought one for 600 pounds stg, in fairly good condition
