Piaggio Motorscooter
Looking into buying a motorscooter. I have some questions.?
More specifically, I live in a semi-small town (highest speed limit is 45 MPH). There are a couple steep paved hilly areas that I do frequent, but they are not long and I don't use them too often. I have been looking at the Piaggio Fly50 and the Fly150 and the difference is about $1000 or more. Would I be able to get by with just buying the 50cc bike for practical purposes? Thanks in advance for any helpful information.
Yeah, it's small. But it suits my purpose. With gas prices as they are now ($4.55 a gallon where I live) I need some alternative means of transport. You can make fun if you like, but I'm excited.
Go with the 150cc. The 50cc will NOT keep up with 45 mph traffic and that is just as dangerous as speeding like a maniac. 50cc will get you to maybe 45 with some modifications, and those are not cheap.
The 150cc can cruise at 45 mph and have some left for the hills.
If you buy the 50cc, you will immediately want the better performance of a larger scooter. Trust me!
