Piaggio Electric Cars

Do i need a new batery for my bike?
i have a 50cc piaggio nrg extreme, the bike is running fine but my electric start wont work so i have to kick start it all the time. When i turn my ignition on all my lights etc work fine but it Just wont start with the electric start.i hooked jumped leads up from my car Battery to the bike Battery and it started first time with the electric start but when i took them of again it wouldn't work.do i need a new Battery?
It could be the battery, or it could be an electrical problem. Get the bike running and put a multimeter across the battery terminals. You should see around 14 v. If not, you might need a new voltage regulator or maybe even a new alternator.
If there's plenty of voltage to charge the battery, then it must be your battery. And that's the most likely thing.
