i just bought a 1991 suzuki shuttle moped from my uncle and he told me it needed some work on the carborater*?
he told me i need to work on the carborater* how would i go about fixing it. also when i start it up it leaks oil and smokes real bad
It sounds as if there may be more than just a carburetor issue there. Where is the oil leaking from? What color is the smoke? Is it a 2 or 4 stroke engine?(you can find the difference on www.howstuffworks.com) It's a good idea not to run it until you get some answers.

Moped struggles to start?
Hi, I have a Suzuki AY50 Katana and recently it's been taking a while to start using the electric start. It like trys for ages, then you feel it kicking in and eventually it goes, but sometimes it takes like a minute and thats along time! Anyone got any idea theres something wrong with it or some kind of explanation, or maybe any tips into getting it to start faster?
Btw the kick starts not great so it's not really an option for me :/
Get it serviced mate!
It's probably something simple like the plug needs cleaning or the fuel filter's blocked, but since you can't do it and I'm not there, go spend a bit of money on the poor tired thing before it lets you down through no fault of its own.
