Scooter Speed

50cc Gy6 scooter stutters or hesitates at high speed. Anyone no why?

It hesitates at max speed. I think it is a carb issue. I thought it was to lean. So i adjusted and it did not help. Is it that it is to rich? Or something else?

There is a low-speed mixture adjustment screw on the China 139QMB 49cc 4-stroke engines, but the main carb jet size determines the high-speed mixture.

torn carb needle slide diaphragm (under top cover)
undersized main jet (to restrict top speed)
manifold vacuum leak (cracked rubber or leaking joint)
insufficient valve lash (should be .002 inches cold)
defective spark plug coil or CDI module

I bought a 50cc scooter, what does the flashing speed light mean?

On my scooter when i'm going along, sometimes a red light starts flashing and underneath is says SPEED.

Whats that mean?
Hmm i think it might be a 30 limit thing

Its a warning red stop light so either your over revving engine ? or has a limiter on at 30mph ? to tell you your going to fast ?

Not a biker ... but I think you need to act on this

Have you got a handbook for the machine ? it may help ?
