Scooter Air Intake
50CC Scooter idle problem. Bike will not start unless air intake is covered, then will go full speed! What???
I just cleaned the carb
I Cleaned petcock
I sealed the rubber intake manifold
the idle screw is all the way out
The fast idle screw makes no difference...
The throttle is not sticking open
Any ideas???
definatly have air leak somewhere, if any engine runs with intake covered, its getting air somewhere for combustion. my guess would be the boot the carb is connected to, sometimes you think its in all the way but it isnt.

piaggio nrg power 50cc aircooled?
does anyone know how i can make my scooter go dramaticaly faster than it is now. It does 50mph tops, but i was wondering if i could drop a 70cc kit in it (are theses also knon as big bore kits or 47mm kits?) i wasn't sure what other parts i would need to do the job, Iknow its gonna get hot but that don't bother me as i alreday have a solution to that. also do i need to increase the fuel/air intake?
Does anyone reccommend any products/websites?

yes the carb will need rejetted but if your fitting a complete big bore kit then the jets are usually supplied. also a sports exhaust would help.
