Pain on left upper side of stomach and pain on left upper back??
Im a 27 year old male who went to the emergency room last night because my left upper stomac and left upper back was hurting me. Ive been feeling this burning sensation in the middle of my stomac too. The doctor didnt do a cat scan because he thinks it might be a ulcer, but would an ulcer cause pain on the left side of back too? Im kind of woried because I think I have the symptoms of pancrease cancer.
In medicine common things are common. Ulcers are common. The pain you describe is consistent with stomach ulcer pain.
The incidence of pancreatic cancer in someone aged below 50 is extremely low and for someone aged 27 is very rare. They didn't give you a CAT scan because it wasn't justified in this situation. CAT scans also give you a dose of radiation so are best avoided unless really necessary.
Reduce your alcohol and spicy food intake. If the pain still persists go and see a doctor. He will probably offer you an endoscopy which would be the investigation of choice with these symptoms.

Odd spot on upper left side of lip question?
I don't know if I bit my lip or what, but on the upper left side of my mouth, by my canine tooth, I detected almost a scrapelike feeling two days ago, yesterday it turned brownish yellow, and today a yellowish white. It hurts a bit, but it was sort of big and has decreased in size.
Could this be cancer, or is it normal for a sore in the mouth to heal this way?
This sounds normal. If the sore persists for more than 2 weeks, call your dentist.
