Does a new clutch and flywheel require breaking in?

I got a new clutch and flywheel installed 3 days ago on my 2002 honda civic LX. I've only driven it maybe around 50~ miles since then, but am finding that when I gas, it still sometimes squeaks on my driver side. Is that normal? Or do I need to take the car back in?

You MUST break in a clutch in any car. Dont stomp it but also dont let the rpms fall to low, new clutch disks need to "seat" properly on the pressure plate. The noise you're hearing is called "chatter" and is normal. Some cheaper clutches will make it for a while (or very high performance ones will always make it, go figure). If it doesn't go away by 150 miles you could have bad motor/tranny mounts or at the worst hotspots on flywheel which would defiantly require to take it back in. Also don't fret if you smell something burning, thats normal for the the 1st couple 100 miles or if you have to accelerate really fast. If you're smelling it all the time, stop riding it or racing it :) With a manual you should pretty much "feel" the clutches "sweet spot" in the rpm range. This is my experience with a 450hp eagle talon and an ACT 2600 6 puck clutch i just installed 1300 miles ago, your mileage may vary, pardon the pun) Kudos

*edit* With regards to the above poster, it may not be the clutch making the noise at all. When the tech installed the clutch a belt could of had a little chunk taken out or something. Also you say a "squeak." Could mean a ton of things. Anyway truth be told it's best to take it back in and let the techs see whats wrong, considering it should be guaranteed with only 50 miles on it.

How to set cam timing on a 1978 Honda CB750K8, and which marks to use on the flywheel? The "T" Or "F" for 1 4

I set it best I could to no prevail, by setting the flywheel to "T" on cylinders 1 4, with the exhaust lobe for cylinder #1 approx. 180 degrees away from opening the valve. Number one cylinder being on the left side of the bike if sitting on bike. Drive chain side. Thank you.

T= "TOP DEAD CENTER",,for Cam Timing,etc

F="FIRING",,,for Ignition Timing

Hey,if you want a Service Manual,,,here's one you can download for free.
It's BIG,,,and requires multiple downloads ,,it's in "sections"

http://pdftown.com/PDF-Honda-CB750-Shop-Manual.html

That's a good clean site,,,no bullshit stuff.

I cant swear to it,,but I THINK the Cam Timing section is in the 1st Page of all those.

Timing Mark on Crank gets set on T

Notch on end of cam goes Straight UP,,,while the 2 "slash marks " on each side of the Notch are to be Horizontal

---U---

That's somewhat,,what the end of the cam looks like

Good Luck with it!
