1995 Daytona 500 $76.47 The 1995 Daytona 500 was held February 19 at Daytona International Speedway. Dale Jarrett won his first career Winston Cup pole. This was Sterling Marlins second Winston Cup win, both of which were in the Daytona 500. Sterling also joined Richard Petty and Cale Yarborough as the only drivers who have won back to back Daytona 500s; this has not been done since. The first yellow flag came out on Lap 10 when Joe Nemechek crashed and collected the #11 of Brett Bodine. Before 30 laps were put on the board, sprint car king Steve Kinser crashed with Phil Parsons. On Lap 70 rain interrupted the race for 2 hours. Jeff Gordon led when the red flag was withdrawn. With 40 laps to go, rookie Randy LaJoie spun on the backstretch and lost his windshield. As the yellow was being waved, Bobby Hamilton made contact with Rusty Wallace, resulting in Wallaces fifth straight Daytona 500 crash. With 15 laps to go, Bobby Labonte crashed in Turn 1. NASCAR dress code for garage/fan zone/pit road?
I'm going to the daytona 500 this year, and am probably going to get a garage/pit/sprint fan zone pass. I was checking over an old question, and I saw a few comments talking about a pit lane dress code. Does anybody know what the full code is?
Ya. Like the guys above me said, there's a different between the pits and the fan zone. The pits are damn near impossible to get into. We've tried to do it at every race we've went to, but all of those passes are reserved for sponsors and the select few of their employees that get them. In the pits, there is a strict dress code of close toed shoes and pants, along with some other stuff that I can't recall.
The fan zone that Daytona has does not have a dress code besides your basic shirt and shoes. The fan zone is an area that allows you to go on top of the garage to watch the crews work on the teams along with other fan friendly areas.
