Is Kymco Like a good scooter?
I'm thinking of buying a "Kymco Like" scooter. Are they a good value? What is important to know when purchasing a scooter. I've looked at vespas as well, but they are alittle out of the price range.
Kymco is a very well made bike manufactured in Taiwan. They have been around for a long time and provide a good warranty. They are also well distributed in the US and Canada so service is not a problem with them.
The Kymco Like compares very favorably with the Honda Metropolitan which has a similar fairings or body style. At an MRSP of $2,099 it is probably a better buy than the Honda because it includes a number of things that are extras on the Honda. The Honda going in price of $1,999 looks good but by the time you have added accessories that you would probably want the total price goes up fast.
Keep in mind that both of these bikes are in the 50cc moped class, so if you are looking for speed in excess of 30 mph, they won't get you there.

Before I settled on the used Reflex I got, I was seriously looking at Kymco scooters. Unfortunately the only dealer in this county is about 40 miles from where I live. The Grand Vista was high on my list, and I liked the People 250's big wheels.I'm happy with the Reflex. I got out on the freeway for the first time today. Going 70 was a bit of a rush.
